The censor authorities in Mumbai gave the film an A' certificate so Feroz went to Delhi to get them to change the certificate category.
In Qurbani, there was the swimming scene on the beach where Zeenat comes out of the water.The censors wanted to cut that, and simply because she was wearing a bikini.Qurbani was such a huge hit, Feroz Khan was forced to release a separate Vinyl record of the films duologue's and background music score.Nazia's parents insisted Feroz listen to Nazia sing.Feroz at first was reluctant as he did not want to hear children sing. Feroz Khan smashed up a brand new Mercedes Benz car for the parking lot scene with Amrish Puri.In 1979, it was rare to even see a Mercedes Benz on the streets of Mumbai.
